No not a computer choice!
We have a bay window, and during February I was cheered by the beautiful pink blossom on the trees that I could see from my seat in the living room. I had to sit here in as much comfort as possible due to a broken back and the blossom was a hint of spring and beauty to come throughout the cold grey days.
Just before I went into ‘shielding’ visitors who sat on a different sofa and looked out of a different window exclaimed how beautiful the magnolia was in an opposite garden.
I had a choice, move my position in the room to see the tree, however I have a base set up beside me that enables me to amuse myself between the meals made and presented to me or stay put and to be thankful that others can appreciate beauty too, to believe them it is there.
We need wisdom to guide us when we need to shift our position or when to believe others even if we cannot see things for ourselves.
It reminded me of the serenity prayer:
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.
Truly a prayer for these times.
