Music for the Wedding Ceremony

Weddings at St.Nicholas & Faith Church Saltash Cornwall
Music for the Wedding Ceremony

Below is listed for your guidance a selection of organ music which can be played during your Wedding ceremony. The music is arranged in three sections, namely, the Arrival of the Bride, music during the Signing of the Registers, and the Final Procession for Bride & Groom. A selection of suitable hymns is also attached, along with a few Solo vocal pieces. In addition, should you require specific music played before the Ceremony starts then please let me know.

The list of music is by no means exhaustive, but does represent popular classical choices made by couples over many years. You may also wish to visit the following website which also offers advice as to hymns and wedding music along with other aspects of your Wedding day –

The Church possesses a 3 manual organ which is very flexible to all types of music, so should you require some secular music for your ceremony from ‘Somewhere over the rainbow’ or ‘I did it my way’ to A Whiter shade of pale’ or ‘What a wonderful world’…..the music can be catered for.

It is important that you contact the organist well in advance of your Wedding day to ensure that all your musical requirements are met, as it may be the case that you would like some secular music during the signing of the registers and sheet music may have to be ordered. In addition, you will probably need to have the music information available for your Order of Service, along with the words of the hymns which you have selected. I can supply a sheet with the words of any hymn when we meet to discuss your music. Alternatively, you can download the words of hymns from the website, but be careful, as the words and the number of verses on the website can sometimes vary from the traditional versions.

To assist you with your choice of music, please contact me on the telephone number below, or alternatively we can meet after the Sunday morning Eucharist, which normally finishes around 11:15am in order for you to listen to a selection of music to help finalise your choice. I am available during the week at any time should you wish to discuss your Wedding music or meet up.

I look forward to hearing from you
